Course GPS Beta capability and scope
“Included for everyone” refers to the current Course GPS Beta planning tools. It is not a universal course-coverage, map-detail, or measured-accuracy claim.
| Feature | Grassy | Availability and scope |
|---|---|---|
| Release and status | Course GPS Beta in Grassy 1.0.86. | Apple’s App Store record dates this release to August 19, 2026. This reference was reviewed August 20, 2026. |
| Platform | Available on iPhone and requires iOS 18.0 or later. | Grassy does not currently claim Android, Apple Watch GPS, or Wear OS GPS support. |
| GPS access | All current Course GPS Beta planning tools are included for everyone. No GPS subscription is required. | GPS access is separate from optional Grassy Pro and Grassy Max subscriptions, which unlock more AI Caddie usage. |
| Live distance and scoring | Live front, middle, and back yardages appear with the round scorecard on the same GPS surface. | A GPS round depends on course scorecard and geometry availability. |
| Hazard and layup planning | Drag a target to a hazard or layup point to see golfer-to-target and target-to-green distances, with adaptive distance arcs. | Map geometry and available target detail vary by course. |
| Plays-like guidance | Plays-like distance can account for available wind, elevation, temperature, and altitude. | Only conditions available for the round are applied. Course GPS does not apply a lie adjustment. |
| Club suggestions | A club suggestion can appear when the golfer’s bag is configured. | Suggestions depend on the club information saved in the golfer’s bag. |
| 3D terrain and Green Books | Supported courses can include interactive 3D hole terrain and LiDAR Green Books with slope heat and break-direction arrows. | These tools are included for everyone where supported, but terrain and green detail are not universal. |
